We’re so excited that Walt Disney World’s for Grownups Fans voted the Wilderness Lodge as the Best Disney Resort to spend the winter holidays at!
Always our favorite, when it’s bedecked for the holidays with plaid bows and birch bark canoes, pine boughs and twinkling lights, the rustic feeling it ushers in the holiday spirit like no other of the Orlando Hotels can do!
Just like we do, the WDWFG fans can’t think of a better way to spend the holiday than at Walt Disney World. Who can deny that the best way to relax at the end of the day is sitting in a rocking chair in front of the Grand Canyon fireplace with a cup of Hot Coco from the Territory Lounge. Holiday music fills the air, and kids gather around the stunning 60-foot-tall Christmas tree that sparkles with lights and amazing rustic and Native American ornaments that were carefully crafted to highlight the theme of the resort. It’s an exciting time to vacation at WDW and the Wilderness Lodge has magic to spare.
If you’re heading to the Lodge soon be sure to check out the activities calendar for holiday magic every day in the lobby. The last time I was there at Christmastime activities included ornament making, storytelling and a nightly tree lighting ceremony. A quick phone call down to Wilderness Lodge confirmed something special would be going on. These activities start in December and can vary from year to year, but the spirit of the season always fills this resort with joy and love.
