Disney Vacation Club has officially announced today what many fans have “unofficially” known for months – new DVC units will be built at the Wilderness Lodge.
The new waterfront cabins are part of the construction project that is set to begin next month. Guests arriving at Wilderness Lodge this fall have been receiving letters from the resort informing them of possible disruptions due to the construction project.
Disney had submitted plans earlier this year for 26 waterfront cabins, and while there was no mention of the cabins being timeshares at the time, many people assumed they would be.
Additional plans submitted by Disney mention a “guest boardwalk,” a bar and grill, and a new pool. We are assuming the new pool will be part of the DVC addition.
