Inside a 2 Bedroom Villa at Disney's Wilderness Lodge

This past June, we had the pleasure of staying in a dedicated 2 bedroom Villa at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The roomy suite #5537 was more than large enough for our family of four adults and one teenager, plus guests as we entertained. We loved having the expansive space of the villa, a full kitchen, jacuzzi tub, and an in room washer and dryer. It was a comfortable and homey environment to relax in when we weren't off touring the parks.

Disney fans know that the company has a dedication to conservation and maintaining a low impact on the wildlife that shares the 43 square acres that are the Walt Disney World Resort. While at the Wilderness Lodge last week we saw again and again how much preserving the environment for native creatures works.

In 2011 the readers of Walt Disney World for Grown Ups voted the Wilderness Lodge the best resort to spend your winter holiday in, and we couldn’t agree more! Christmas time here is even more magical because of the Northwoods inspired décor in rustic hues of red and green upon piney boughs. You may even forget that you’re in sunny Florida and wonder where the snow is!

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge not only has standard rooms that have differing views, but in select room, you’ll find the furnishings to include bunk beds. At first I though, what a great idea! Every kids love a bunk beds, right? But there are a couple things that you should keep in mind before trying to book one of these fun rooms for your Walt Disney World vacation.
