Who LOVES breakfast? Mmm…. bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, biscuits, sausage, potatoes, gravy … and Mickey waffles!
When staying at Wilderness Lodge (or just stopping by) you have two great breakfast options to choose from.
First up is the quick-service Roaring Fork restaurant. Located close to the pool and boat dock, this is a great pick if you’re ready to immediately head off to the Magic Kingdom via boat after breakfast!
At Roaring Fork, you’ll find breakfast platters, made-to-order yogurt parfaits, fresh pancakes, and a variety of cold items. Cold items start serving at 6 a.m., but hot items like breakfast sandwiches, eggs, and pancakes aren’t available until 7 a.m. You can dine on breakfast here until 11 a.m., when the offerings switch over to lunch.
Your other Wilderness Lodge choice or breakfast is the zany, “undignified” Whispering Canyon Cafe. Disney Food Blog has a great review of “breakfast on the range” at this fun restaurant that’s a great pick for a large family. Your waiter will interact with you here and make breakfast fun for your group!
Many diners at Whispering Canyon opt for the bottomless Canyon Skillet — with all the scrambled eggs, red bliss potatoes, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, buttermilk biscuits and waffles you can eat — but others might want to choose from the a la carte menu (PDF download). Personally, I love the Barbecue Eggs Benedict! Yum, yum!
