Drop the Kids Off At the Cub’s Den!

A couple of weeks ago I talked about Date Night at the Wilderness Lodge and what a lovely place it is to spend some time with your sweetie. However, many of us go to Walt Disney World on Family Vacations and bring our kids along. How then can a couple have a romantic night out? Wilderness lodge has the answer to your baby sitting woes with the Cub’s Den.

Located on the Lobby Level of Wilderness Lodge’s Main building the Cub’s Den offers fun, creative, supervised child care for children from ages 3 to 12 in the form of an an evening of supervised activities in an environment created just for them.

Kids dropped off for fun while their parents get a night out will be entertained by vibrant Disney Cast members who know how to keep the magic alive. There are computers and game systems, games and crafts for the little ones, books, toys, a huge sandbox and picnic table outside, and plenty of Disney Movies!

You can find the facility near the Wilderness Lodge Mercantile, and across the hall from Buttons and Bells Arcade. If you would like to visit with your kids before leaving them there for the evening, Cubs Den is open daily from 2:30-4:00pm for crafts and games for all ages. Everyone is welcome to stop by and play awhile.

The Cubs Den facility is open for childcare daily from 4:30 p.m. to midnight. The cost is $11.50 per hour, per child with a two hour minimum. Dinner and a late snack are included in the price. Dinner is a typically child friendly menu usually consisting of Disney fare like chicken nuggets, hamburgers, hot dogs, and similar fare

Advance reservations are suggested. To make a reservation for The Cub’s Den, please contact (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 up to 90 days in advance. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call. Parents don’t have to be staying at the Wilderness Lodge or villas to use the Cub’s Den. DVC Members currently receive a 10% discount for up to three children.

Same-day reservations are sometimes available. Contact Disney’s Wilderness Lodge front desk or the Concierge during your visit.
